The Family Partnership’s Board of Directors adopted a new strategic framework with five priority areas to focus how we accomplish our mission to build strong families, vital communities and better futures for children.
Five Priority Areas
Financial Sustainability
Our financial resources ensure that The Family Partnership carries on its 146-year legacy of serving families and children experiencing intergenerational trauma, poverty and adversity. To remain resilient and sustainable, we must adapt and innovate within a rapidly shifting financial landscape. This means cultivating flexibility in funding strategies and exploring new revenue streams, partnerships, and efficiencies that support our mission over time. By staying proactive and resourceful, we’ll better navigate financial uncertainties, strengthen our foundation, and continue delivering meaningful impact.
Organizational Health and Resilience
The resilience and effectiveness of TFP’s staff and board are critical in sustaining TFP’s mission and programs. We improve internal systems, processes and resources that support staff well-being and productivity. We also strengthen board governance to ensure TFP’s remains resilient, flexible, and creative during cycles of change.
Intergenerational Impact through Services
The Family Partnership delivers programs that break intergenerational cycles of poverty, adversity, and trauma. We utilize a two-generation (2Gen) approach, which integrates services for both children and their caregivers. By leveraging evidence-based practices, TFP helps families create sustainable impact to overcome systemic racism and other barriers.
Thought and Practice Leadership
The Family Partnership is a critical thought partner with local and national human services organizations. We are committed to service delivery innovation and forging partnerships that improve outcomes for children and families.
Equity, Inclusion, and Anti-racism
Equity, inclusion and anti-racism initiatives are paramount to delivering effective services and retaining high-quality staff. TFP will apply best practices in our services internally and build staff and board leadership ability in these areas.
