I am grateful to the PRIDE program for how they have guided me to move forward with my life. I look at my life experiences now as my stumbling blocks that were in my way are now what I use as my stepping stones.

Our Approach, Outreach and Advocacy
Our program uses a holistic approach to combat sexual exploitation that includes disrupting demand, providing services to those impacted and working to change systemic factors that lead to exploitation and abuse.
- We provide education and street outreach.
- We advocate for public and systems policy change.
- Our program was created and continues to be informed by those with lived experience.
- We follow a harm-reduction model.
- We serve across a lifespan, including those over the age of 24 who have experienced sexual exploitation or sex trafficking and who are not covered by Minnesota’s Safe Harbor Law.
- We have youth and adult-specific programming and tailor our services to the individual and/or family’s needs.
- We meet people where they are and without judgment.
- We believe that addressing systemic racism, economic inequalities and disparities in health and mental health care is essential in making progress in commercial sexual exploitation.
